8-Core Macpro

Xsightn Photography

Photography is so much fun i must admit, it really is.

But its a whole new kettle of fish when you shoot a wedding and come out with about 3000 raw files from your camera awaiting processing. At least 50% of the pictures never make it to the client and if you don’t have a proper workflow - enter the disaster.

The last wedding i covered resulted in 2300 original raw images, i had everything rated, keyworded and color corrected in a day, it was really amazing.

I use Aperture exclusively, a truely magnificant tool for any serious photographer. I decided to invest in one of the new ridiculously pricey 8-Core MacPros from Apple after reading a review on it from a fellow wedding photographer based in the US and this has proven to be one of my best investments in photography so far.

Compared to my 17 Macbook pro, the 8-core machine cut my workflow time significantly, don’t get me wrong the Macbook pro is a truly amazing piece of gear in its own rights and would out perform most functioning desktop machines today but the 8-Core Mac-pro is on another level entirely.

Applying custom edit to 1000 images at a go is now a breeze
Its all about your Xsightn wedding.
