Nikon D3s
I made up my mind a few months ago that i was done with buying any new camera, i mean, in under a year, i have invested in about 6 already, even had a brief romance with a Canon before i quickly discovered it was meant for me. But Nikon last month released yet another masterpiece, the Nikon D3s, optimised for low light photography and priced at just over $5000, this camera is a real bargain. Maybe i buy this one then stop here.
Nikon has unveiled the D3S professional DSLR. The new model is an upgrade to the popular D3 and comes with 720p HD video recording and a sensitivity range up to ISO 102,400 for improved low light performance. Images are captured on a new 36 x 23.9 mm CMOS sensor and buffer size has been increased for 48 RAW frames in one burst. Futher improvements include a faster contrast detect AF in Live View and in-camera RAW-processing. Body shape, quality and operation are virtually identical to the D3.
Watch out for the new Nikon D3s at an Xsightn Wedding near you.

International Photography Workshop
I will be leaving the shores of this country later in the month, to attend various international photography workshops.
While also allowing me the opportunity to rub minds with some of the biggest names in International photography, it will also allow me to learn new techniques as well.
I will be attending classes by Bobbi lane, David Tejada and Robin Nichols.
Hopefully when i return, it will be a whole new Xsightn.
The whole Idea is to improve my deliverables to clients by giving them only the very best in photography.
Its all about your Xsightn wedding.
Bobbi Lane is a commercial, editorial and corporate photographer. Lane’s multi-faceted approach to photography incorporates over 30 years of technical experience with innovative artistic interpretation. Lane shoots primarily people on location for corporate and advertising accounts as well as photographing “real people” and travel for stock.
An award winning photographer, Lane has worked on many special projects including “Indian Renaissance” for the India Tourist Board as well as landing the contract for photographing the Space Station Proposal for NASA through McDonnell/Douglas. Represented by Getty, her stock photography has sold worldwide for ads, posters, and billboards. Her clients include: Aramco, Warner Bros., Samsung, Bose Corp., Neutrogena, Boots Cosmetics, Sears Tower’s Skydeck, World Trade Tower’s Top of the World to name a few.
One of Colorado's most highly regarded location corporate photographers, David Tejada is also internationally recognized for his dramatic and innovative photographic lighting techniques and graphic style.
Also known for his approachable personality, David has the reputation of being a person who is easy to work with who takes the worry out of corporate work. With more than twenty-two years of shooting experience, David has developed a clear understanding of both corporate and designer needs.
His work successfully integrates exciting color and strong graphic compositions to effectively communicate his client’s message.
Robin Nichols has been shooting pictures for more time than he cares to remember, starting a career in the UK before moving to Australia 25 years ago. Since settling in Sydney Robin has worked in the photo processing and post-production industries, as well as shooting weddings for nearly ten years.
In more recent times he’s worked as a magazine editor for Commercial Photography magazine and, latterly, Australian Photography magazine, before founding and editing Digital Photography and Design magazine, the first all-digital magazine in the Southern hemisphere.
He also been running the Better Digital magazine for more than eight years and is the founder and co-editor of Better Photoshop Techniques magazine with Peter Eastway and Philip Andrews.

8-Core Macpro
Xsightn Photography
Photography is so much fun i must admit, it really is.
But its a whole new kettle of fish when you shoot a wedding and come out with about 3000 raw files from your camera awaiting processing. At least 50% of the pictures never make it to the client and if you don’t have a proper workflow - enter the disaster.
The last wedding i covered resulted in 2300 original raw images, i had everything rated, keyworded and color corrected in a day, it was really amazing.
I use Aperture exclusively, a truely magnificant tool for any serious photographer. I decided to invest in one of the new ridiculously pricey 8-Core MacPros from Apple after reading a review on it from a fellow wedding photographer based in the US and this has proven to be one of my best investments in photography so far.
Compared to my 17 Macbook pro, the 8-core machine cut my workflow time significantly, don’t get me wrong the Macbook pro is a truly amazing piece of gear in its own rights and would out perform most functioning desktop machines today but the 8-Core Mac-pro is on another level entirely.
Applying custom edit to 1000 images at a go is now a breeze
